We are currently seeking a hands-on, “get it done” , food processing professional who is ready to step into a key leadership position as Production Superintendent in a fast paced Ready to Eat Food processing facility located in Northwest Kentucky. In this position, you will use your hands-on food processing experience to lead, guide and direct every aspect of the plant operations including production,maintenance,safety,quality, warehousing while reporting to the Plant Manager.

You will keep production operating in a safe and efficient manner, every day, ensuring highest quality product . _This is a hands on facility that will require the ability and willingness to lead but also be a part of the team. This is not a ‘back and manager position’._

As the Assistant Plant Manager, you will;

  • Be hands on in every aspect of the process and will spend your days on the production floor to assure cost effective, timely and efficient production and coordinate distribution of consistently high quality products
  • Maintains work flow by monitoring and developing steps of the process by setting processing instructions, observing control points and equipment, monitoring staff.
  • Under the direction of the Plant Manager, setting productions shifts accomplishing product manufacturing goals by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Direct contact for personnel problems. Responsible for analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action to the Plant Manager.


  • 4-6 years’ experience in a USDA food processing facility- MANDATORY – in a key Supervisory or Production Manager role
  • A degree is a PLUS but not required , we are looking for hands-on experience and the ability to get the job done as opposed to formal education .
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to lead/guide/direct the production operations
  • Extensive understanding of the food processing environment. HACCP certification a plus
  • True team player with a positive and cooperative attitude willing to do whatever it takes.
  • This is a smaller production facility that is very hands -on in every aspect of the operation. The ideal candidate will have experience in a small food processing facility and be willing to be part of the team .
