Position Title: Teller

Supervision Received: Position reports to the Location Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Job Summary : A Teller undertakes bank transactions and interacts directly with
customers. A Teller is usually the first person a customer sees when they walk
into one of our locations. This
individual will also serve as the Backup to the Customer Service
Representative. Customers look to our Customer Service Representatives to
assist them with issues and/or place them into the accounts that best suit
their needs. CSRs respond to customer inquiries via telephone and face-to-face
meetings

Essential
Functions, Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Greet all customers and visitors when they enter
the location lobby

Process daily transactions including receiving
deposits, cashing checks, accepting loan payments, and disbursing cash

Cash checks and payout money after verifying
that signatures are correct, that written and numerical amounts agree, and that
accounts have sufficient funds

Explain, promote, and sell specialized products
such as cashier’s checks, personal money orders, and traveler’s checks

Exchange foreign currency

Perform services for customers including
ordering bank cards and checks

Record all transactions promptly, accurately,
and in accordance with bank procedures

Perform as a team member in allocating and
coordinating the workflow

May be responsible for bank openings/closings

Answer inquiries regarding checking and savings
accounts and other bank related products

Assist customers in solving account errors or
problems, providing account balances, etc

Balance currency, cash and checks in cash drawer
daily; arrange monies according to denomination

Promote and maintain positive relations with all
contacts, customers, and potential customers

High school diploma or equivalent

Clerical, administrative, cash handling, or customer service
experience preferred

Working Conditions:
Indoor, environmentally
controlled. Usual office working conditions. The noise level in the work
environment is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal
interruptions, and background noises.
