Performs moderately complex clinical laboratory tests and procedures and maintains and calibrates equipment.
Job Responsibilities
Performs clinical laboratory tests at all times according to established procedures of verification, processing,testing, and reporting after consultation with technologists or technicians.
Performs the pertinent Quality Control procedures to validate test results according to established standards,consults with MT/MLT and records results appropriately with approval MT/MLT.
Performs preventive maintenance and monitoring of all equipment to assure that it is working properly andmaintains related records following technologist/technician approval.
Records on instrument logs any repairs, replacement, and maintenance needed of equipment. Providesclerical support as necessary.
Maintains adequate supply inventories by rotating stock, checking for expiration dates and orderingreplacement stock when necessary.
Performs venipuncture on patients of all age groups and other specimen collection consistently with propertherapeutic skills and according to procedures.
