SES is looking for an Hazmat General Laborer/Field Technicians (Industrial/Environmental Services) to join our dynamic Emergency Response Team team located at our Owensboro, KY operation. The Field Technician is responsible for completing daily field service activities in a safe and compliant manner.

What you will be doing
Key responsibilities and functions may include, but are not limited to:
Stays current with all required training to ensure proper execution and industry knowledge
Performs all tasks as assigned, which includes work that is considered physical and demanding, and follows detailed directions
Maintains and properly uses all equipment issued by the company
Completes and submits company forms including (but not limited to) expense reports, timecards, etc.
Maintains a spirit of cooperation and teamwork at all times
Increases his/her level of proficiency from certified to authorized through various training modules
Learns the process flow for SES paperwork, including daily worksheets, change orders, equipment rentals, air monitoring reporting, H&S paperwork, etc.
Learns the paperwork process flow and proper handling and transportation of non-hazardous and hazardous waste materials
Becomes an expert in recognizing onsite potential safety hazards through safety training and, and through communication and reporting, rectifies the concern
Works beyond normal work hours when required and is available for night time and weekend work as needed
Completes other tasks as assigned by management
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies

What we are looking for
High school diploma preferred
At least one year of industrial services and/or trade/construction experience preferred, but not required
Fluent English speaking and writing skills
Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting/manual labor
Willing to travel on short notice for extended periods of time and must be available when called on for assignment
Willing and able to work beyond normal hours and to work nights and/or weekends as required
Valid driver’s license in good standing, and able to be insured under corporate insurance policy.
Essential Physical Job Functions
Hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.
Must be able to repetitively lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl.
Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
Must be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold, dusty, and wet conditions for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work in confined spaces and tight quarters.
Be able to wear protective clothing such as respirators, safety glasses, approved steel toe shoes, coveralls, and hearing protection.
Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms at elevated heights.
Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts.
