Responsible for internal and external communication and operates telephone software applications to routeincoming calls and place outgoing calls. Completes less routine assignments. Duties and tasks are morecomplex. Exercises judgment to solve more complex problems.

Job Responsibilities
Receives and relays internal and external calls and provides general information.
Operates telephone software applications to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls.
Operates the computerized system for patient transport including answers calls, entering information intopatient transport system, assigning Ambassadors, and clearing the task when complete.
Dispatches patient transport and security staff as needed to the correct direction. This includes the use ofproper radio etiquette to ensure accuracy.
Maintains desk directories, on-call list, reference guides and other associated reference materials.
Receives and accurately prioritizes; distributes phone calls to providers and nursing staff as needed.
Communicates codes, alerts, drills and other announcements according to established policies and protocols,including disaster management plans.
Proficient in all software applications specific to the Communications Department.
Maintains work area in a clean and orderly fashion to ensure equipment is functional
