Responsible for the development and implementation of approved organization wide employee and labor relations policies, programs and practices. Completes routine and detailed work assignments. May be assigned to small projects or to specific areas of a larger project. Exercises some judgment and solves routine problems using documented methods.
Job Responsibilities
Assesses, resolves or escalates employee related matters and resolves or escalates to manager as needed.
Provides other HR professionals, management team members and employees consultative services withregard to personnel policies and procedures, performance issues, other employee relations issues.
Provides management team members guidance into conducting fact findings into allegations of policyviolations.
Advises management and employees on corrective actions, including the approval of all suspensions andinvoluntary terminations.
Administers programs related to positive employee relations: Employee Communications, Employee ExitInterviews, Problem Resolution, etc.
Manages complex personnel investigations.
Leads and may assist in preparing and conducting presentations/in-services/orientation about employeerelations relative to corrective actions, problem resolutions, proactive employee relations, performanceimprovement plans, communications, etc.
Researches, administers, and interprets various labor laws as they relate to employee relations.
Administers state unemployment insurance process.
Supports Employment Engagement Team and Organizational Development.
Assists with Employee Opinion Survey.
Organizational Responsibilities

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field required. A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
Work Experience
0 to 4 years progressive experience in a related field required. Work experience in a business or office environment preferred.
Skills and Attributes
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and works under direct supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Learning and beginning to apply specialized concepts, practices, and procedures in the area of specialization. Applies knowledge at a basic level relying heavily on senior staff for troubleshooting.
