Experience with CNC routers, framing machines, table, panel, miter saws, and sanders a plus although not required, and onsite training to be provided. Hired candidates to be responsible for meeting daily quality and production standards in a safe and fast paced environment. Candidate must be willing to work overtime, be dependable & have reliable transportation. Must be willing to work 2nd and/or 3rd shifts.

  • Responsible for safely operating woodworking equipment to meet quality and production standards.
  • Responsible for keeping a production pace and overall flow of cabinet part components.
  • Scans materials for trash, core laps, core delams, core gaps, splits, natural defects and correct size.
  • Capable of receiving inbound freight and shipping outbound orders.
  • Able to change tooling, belts and conduct basic equipment care/maintenance.
  • Adheres and promotes 5S standards.
  • Reports any problems arising in safety, quality or production to the Facility Manager/Technician.
  • Completes preventative maintenance and production logs sheets.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. This position requires the ability to read and write, perform basic mathematical operations such as adding and subtracting whole numbers or fractions. On-the-job training provided.

Knowledge of

Individual must be knowledgeable of the operation of Routers, Sander, Saws, Razor Gauge (optimizers), and Packing Systems.

Skills Required

Ability to work from detailed instructions, to plan and perform a sequence of operations, to use judgment to make decisions, to read production orders, have general computer knowledge in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Additional CAD skills related to the cabinet industry would be a plus.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
